We had the great pleasure of bringing two interns onto our team over the Summer: Madison Duke and Kelsey Barker. Madison and Kelsey worked with several of our clients, and did great work on a variety of projects. We asked them about their time as NextLevel Thinking interns, and this is what they had to say:
How would you describe what it is like to work at NextLevel Thinking?
Kelsey: “It’s like joining a family where everyone loves marketing just as much as you do! The NLT team constantly works to bring their clients to the “Next Level,” so it motivated me to think at the next level too.”
Madison: “I would describe working at NextLevel Thinking as a goal-oriented job. Throughout all the work the team and I did this summer, the clients’ success was always their priority. The amount of thought and hard work that goes into everything they do for their clients shows how they work intentionally and with 100% effort. I think that working with NLT has taught me how important it is to not only just get work done, but to really understand the client and listen to their needs.”
What advice would you give a candidate who wants to join our team of superstars?
Kelsey: “Have a good understanding of your own personal strengths and know how you can apply them to benefit the team and the clients.”
Madison: “Do not be afraid or nervous or to ask questions. Throughout my time here I have learned that the team prefers questions being asked and working together rather than having to figure something out on your own. It can be nerve racking to ask questions, especially if you feel like it is an irrelevant question, but the team does a great job explaining everything and making sure you are fully aware of the task. The NLT group goes out of their way to make sure you are completely confident in a task and will reassure you that no question is a dumb question. They are understanding and are willing to do whatever it takes to make you feel comfortable. I would advise anyone to take this position, you will not only work with great clients, you will work with an extremely talented team.”
