As we prepare to mark our 25th anniversary this October, it’s certainly a fun exercise to project what the next twenty-five years at NextLevel Thinking might look like, but a daunting task just the same. While I won’t be the one writing the update for our 50th anniversary—I plan to be enjoying a breeze on an island long before then—the vision for where our firm is heading remains clear.
Five years ago, we focused on how the internet and social media rewrote the rulebook for business relationships. Today, the headlines are dominated by Artificial Intelligence. However, the real threat isn’t the technology itself; it is becoming irrelevant in a sea of generic noise.
Just think about this. If you hand powerful tools to a team without a clear plan, you don’t get better results; you just get a chaotic mess delivered at record speed. We believe that for technology to truly scale, it has to be anchored in the fundamentals of your separation statement.
The AI must be deeply trained on your desired market so it understands exactly who you are speaking to, and it must be clear on the promise you are making to them. Without that clarity, content lacks cohesion. Furthermore, to keep your brand from sounding robotic, we have to feed the system your unique personality—from your specific tone of voice right down to the style of jokes you tell.
This evolution is changing how we work at NLT, too. We are moving away from simply grinding out tasks and toward a model of strategic oversight. By letting technology handle the heavy lifting of data and drafting—the support work—our team is free to focus on what machines can’t do: real empathy, emotional intelligence, and relationship building.
So, here is the prediction: The platforms and algorithms will keep shifting, and we will shift with them. But our aspiring vision remains the same. The need for an authentic, human-centric message that cuts through the clutter will always stand the test of time.
